BEIJING, Sept. 17 -- The Frankfurt Auto Show was interrupted when BMW's chief executive fainted on stage, according to media reports on Wednesday.
BMW CEO Harald Krueger stumbled backward and fell on his back during the first five minutes of his presentation at the German automaker's news conference. He was helped off stage by staff.
BMW spokesman Maximilian Schoeberl said Krueger's condition was not serious, and may be related to exhaustion from recent travels.
A round table Krueger was supposed to hold with journalists was conducted by the company's CFO instead.
