K. Rupert Murdoch, Executive Chairman of News Corp, says China-US relationship is in good shape, and Chinese President Xi Jinping’s upcoming state visit to US is “very important”.
Xi Jinping meets the Australian American business magnate at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing Friday.

In the interview with People’s Daily after his meeting with President Xi, the media tycoon chooses “very good” to describe the Sino-US relationship. “We (US and China) understand each other and we need each other.”
Upon the question of how he sees Xi’s upcoming state visit to the US, Murdoch states the absolute importance in the act, and says that Xi’s firm composure as a representative of the voice of China is very much needed.
Murdoch describes Xi as a very approachable and affectionate person, adding that “I think American people would like him very much, when they get together.”
