Hong Kong Football Association (HKFA) was ruled to pay fine for Hong Kong soccer fans jeering the Chinese national anthem, which they share with China, before a World Cup qualifier on September 9.
Hong Kong lost to Qatar with a 2:3 on that day.
Hong Kong soccer fans had booed at two other home games on Chinese national anthem earlier this year, preceding FIFA's warning to HKFA. A more severe sanction will be applied should any booing occurs, said FIFA, warning against any similar conduct.
