
BEIJING, Oct. 17 (People's Daily Online) -- The One Belt One Road Initiative will boost the bilateral ties between China and Sudan. As an African country, Sudan is willing to help China promote this initiative, said Eng.Ibrahim M.Hamid, President Assistant of Sudan.
Ibrahim made the remarks in a video interview with People's Daily Online when attending the Asian Political Parties' Special Conference on the Silk Road. "2000 years ago, the ancient Silk Road connected China with Sudan, which was written in the history books. Today, the initiative of One Belt One Road further promotes our bilateral ties. Now China is the NO.1 country in financing Sudan's construction and development.” said Ibrahim.
Since the establishment of the diplomatic ties between China and Sudan in 1959, Sudan benefits a lot from our bilateral ties. "China is our strategic partner. Our cooperation covers various areas including infrastructure, electricity, communication, education, health, etc. Our relationship sets a good example for countries from different continents. We hope to maintain this relationship with Chinese people and Chinese government. “ said Ibrahim.
