

Pictures of several overseas tourists posing nude on Sibuan Island off Semporna have gone viral. Interpol was contacted to help identify the tourists after the police received complaints from the public on Oct.15, 2015.
According to Chinanews.com, a Chinese national involved in this incident was detained by the Malaysian police on Oct. 21.
According to Mingpao, a Chinese-language newspaper, Semporna police chief Superintendent Peter Umbuas said on Oct.22 that this Chinese tourist will be held in detention until Oct.25 and investigated under Section 294 of the Penal Code which lays down the punishment for obscene acts or words in public.
This man, a professional diving instructor, is responsible for arranging schedule for Chinese tourists.
