

Chinese Premier Li Keqiang and German Chancellor Angela Merkel visited Hefei University in Anhui Province on Friday.
Hefei University has been engaged in various programs with Germany for faculty training, exchange of students and joint development for some of its departments since the early 1980s. On the school's 30th anniversary, Premier Li announced setting up a Sino-German educational cooperation fund at the school and to list Hefei University a demonstration base for the collaboration in education between China and Germany.
Premier Li and Chancellor Merkel also tasted Schwarzbier, the German black beer made by the students of food science at Hefei University.
