Zhengzhou Normal University opened a love psychology course that has become very popular among students. Some graduates have even commented: why wasn’t there a class like that when I was at college.

Liu Guoqing is the teacher and initiator of this love psychology course. He had been working as the students’ psychological counsellor for years before he proposed to open the love course. Liu says that relationships have been an important part of college students’ life and a part they always have trouble dealing with. Most of the students cannot properly solve relationship issues themselves and turn to him for advice. So Liu decided to open a class to help students with their relationship issues .

In recent years, more and more unusual courses have been offered in colleges and universities. For example, Xiamen University opened a class called “the aesthetics of breasts”, Huaqiao University runs a sexology course and a dragon dance course, Jimei University offers a class for foot fighters (also known as "judose") , while Yang’en University offers a field survival course.
