CHONGLI, China, Dec. 22 -- Hebei launched its first provincial mass snow season on Tuesday in Changchengling, a ski resort nestled in mountains near the Great Wall where Beijing 2022 will stage Nordic skiing and other events.
The mass snow season will feature a series of ice and snow events in every city of Hebei province, ice events mainly in Chengde city where the Imperial Summer Resort, one of China's best known imperial resorts is located, and snow events in Chongli.
"It will last until next February and two million people are expected to take part," said Li Dongqi, vice director of Hebei provincial sports bureau.
