The Chinese People's Liberation Army Navy (PLAN) commissioned the Tianmushan, a new-generation tank landing ship, into the East Sea Fleet at a ceremony on Tuesday.
Independently designed and built in China, the landing ship measures 119.5 meters long and 16.4 meters wide. With a maximum displacement of 5,008 tons, the ship can sail at a speed of up to 20 knots.

The landing ship is expected to be deployed to deliver troops and equipment and perform other non-war military operations.
