The number "123456" was selected as the worst passwords in 2015, followed by "password" and "12345678", according to a report by a password management firm.
According to the report, "password" and "123456" still claim the top two spots on the list, where they've remained for the past five years.
Despite increasing concerns over cyber security, people still use simple passwords that can put them at great risk, the report said.
New bad passwords in the list of 2015 appear to have been inspired by the recent release of the movie blockbuster Star Wars: The Force Awakens, with "starwars," "solo" and "princess" making their first appearance on the list.
"Football" and "baseball" are both in the top 10 list. Passwords comprised in keyboard order like "1qaz2wsx" and "qwertyuiop" are also regarded as least safe ones.
Password management firm SplashData released its annual "Worst Passwords List," revealing that humans have remained rather indifferent to choosing unique and secure passwords since the company's first report in 2011. The company analyzed more than 2 million leaked passwords in 2015 and found several trends in the most common ones.
