BEIJING, Feb. 4 -- He Jiatie, member of the standing committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Hubei provincial committee, has been removed from his posts for disciplinary offenses, the Central Commission for Disciplinary Inspection (CCDI) said Thursday.
He broke Party rules and leaked information about inspections while holding the post of deputy leader of one of the central inspection groups.
He seriously violated the Party's eight-point regulation on frugality by joining events in private clubs and paying personal bills with public funds.
The CPC's Central Committee approved his dismissal and demoted him from vice-ministerial level to department level.
