On March 7, 2016, the opening ceremony for the preliminary round of the 2016 Best of Yunnan Green Coffee Competition was held at Yunnan Coffee Trading Center.
According to sources, the competition was jointly sponsored by the Coffee Quality Institute (CQI), Pu'er Coffee Association, and Yunnan Coffee Trading Center, with the aim of "searching for the best coffee in Yunnan". The event will lay a solid foundation for future auctions of premium coffee at Yunnan Coffee Trading Center, thereby helping to improve the quality of Yunnan coffee and give a big boost to its branding effort.
The preliminary round will last from March 7 until March 10, while the final round will take place from March 24 to 25.
