On April 4, 2016, the Tourism Administration of Xiangyang released official statistics on tourism business during the Qingming Festival: Over the three-day period, a total of 1.782 million tourists were made of Xiangyang, resulting in RMB1.11 billion in revenues from tourism business, an 18.3% and 20.7% increase respectively when compared with the same period of the previous year.
