
BEIJING, April 15 -- Chinese President Xi Jinping's special envoy Chen Zhenggao will attend the inauguration ceremony of Republic of Congo President Denis Sassou Nguesso on April 16, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lu Kang announced on Friday.
Chen, minister of housing and urban-rural development, will pay a visit to Brazzaville at the invitation of Sassou Nguesso, Lu said at a routine press conference.
Xi congratulated Sassou Nguesso on his re-election as president of the Republic of Congo on April 6.
