On the afternoon of May 9, senior students and their teachers at Hefei No. 1 High School in eastern China's Anhui province took a special graduation photo featuring 2,200 people. With less than a month before the college entrance examination, this photo will surely be a valuable memento of the students' school days.
Zhu Min, director of the senior grade, said that graduation photos are usually taken class by class; however, Hefei No. 1 High School wanted to give students a full "family portrait."
At 3 p.m., 2,200 students and teachers from all 39 classes came to the playground and stood in the appointed area despite a persistent drizzle.
It is not easy to capture so many faces in one photo. According to the photographer, the photo was taken with special device and the picture will be 2.5 meters long, with each person about 1 centimeter in size. The shooting took about 30 seconds to finish.
