The 18th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) started its sixth plenary session on Monday to discuss major issues regarding strict Party governance and documents on intra-Party supervision and political life within the Party.

Sources with close knowledge of the plenary session said that the CPC believes that under the new situation, political life in the Party has been good in general terms. According to sources familiar with the matter, the CPC believes that the key to strengthening political life within the Party rests with the Party's leading departments and officials.
