On Oct. 27, a man was shot dead in Dongguan, Gungdong province beside an armored cash transportation vehicle. Witnesses said the man had chased the vehicle and threw bricks at it, which resulted in his death.

Shop owners nearby verified the incident but said they knew nothing about the man’s behavior. One bystander said that the man had quarreled with the driver after his motorbike was scratched by the armored vehicle. Police have not yet been able to verify this claim.

The armored car company claimed that the escort's safety was threatened by the man’s attack, and the attacker was given plenty of warnings to stop.
