

Fuzhou Guild Hall was one of three guild halls established in Fancheng, Jiangxi during the Qing Dynasty. Merchants from Linchuan, Jiangxi of the Qing Dynasty founded Fuzhou Guild Hall at the entrance of Chenlao Lane, Yanjiang Road, Fancheng. Fuzhou Guild Hall was used as an industrial and commercial trade association. Fuzhou Guild Hall facing south initially covered a large area and was a magnificent structure. Fuzhou Guild Hall was included in the list of “Hubei Provincial Relic Protection Units” in 1992. With architectural beauty as well as wonderful article excelling nature, Fuzhou Guild Hall was a physical evidence of convenient transport and prosperous economy of Xiangyang in the period of Ming and Qing Dynasties.

Xiangyang Municipal Cultural Relics Department is repairing the existing Theatrical Stage, Main Hall, and Rear Hall, to recover historical original appearance of Fuzhou Guild Hall.
