Recently, China Institute of City Competitiveness released in Hong Kong “2016 China’s Most Distinctive Tourist City Ranking.” Pu’er was on the list, ranking No. 22. Among the top 30 cities, only Lijiang and Pu’er are from Yunnan Province.
China’s most distinctive tourist city evaluation index system consists of 4 first-class indices, 10 second-class indices, and 22 third-class indices, including urban natural ecological resources index, tourist product featured index, tourist historical and cultural features index, and tourist experience index.
