Both the average price and sales volume of roses in China have increased substantially with the approach of Valentine's Day.

Just before Valentine’s Day, imported roses can sell for 20 RMB each, 15 RMB more than local roses. Imported roses in China come mainly from Ecuador, South Africa, Kenya, the Netherlands and New Zealand. Owing to their packaging and other factors, imported roses can last up to 40 days.
