
MACAO, March 26 -- Macao Special Administrative Region (SAR) Chief Executive Chui Sai On on Sunday congratulated Lam Cheng Yuet-ngor on winning the election of the fifth-term chief executive of China's Hong Kong SAR.
In his congratulatory letter, Chui said Macao and Hong Kong will further deepen their friendship and cooperation on the basis of existing partnership and work together in building "Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area," a central government initiative aimed at boosting development of the Cantonese-speaking region in southern China.
He also hoped that both SARs will grasp the opportunity of national development, create more prosperous, stabler and happier future for both peoples, and make joint efforts to advance "one country, two systems" principle.
