Recently, China Society of Territorial Economists released the shortlist of “2017 Top 100 Deep-Breath Towns”, announcing 200 counties (cities) as a candidate unit. Baokang became the only candidate county (city) in Xiangyang.
“Deep-Breath Towns” means counties or county-level cities that can boast of fresh air and are suitable for “smog-avoiding tourism”. After soliciting public opinions and conducting further selection by experts, the final list of “2017 Top 100 Deep-Breath Towns” will be announced on May 19, the very day of the “China Tourism Day”.
