
BISHKEK, April 24 -- Kyrgyzstan has concluded its natioanl championship on traditional Wushu to select athletes for the international competitions in China, the Federation of Traditional Wushu of Kyrgyzstan reported on Monday.
The championship was organized and conducted by the Federation of Traditional Wushu of the Kyrgyz Republic, the National Center for Children and Youth, the House of Culture of Leninsky village under the auspices of the Directorate for Non-Olympic Sports under the State Agency for Physical Culture and Sports of Kyrgyzstan.
Following the championship, Kyrgyzstan will set up its combined team for the 29th Summer Universiade (Chinese Taipei), the 14th World Wushu Championship (Kazan, Russia) and the 7th World Championship in Traditional Wushu (Emeishan, China).
Traditional Wushu is an ancient Chinese martial art that harmoniously combines the practice of combat techniques with the training of the person's personality: physical, intellectual, mental and moral qualities.
