Recently, a series of photos showing traffic police in Jiangxi province smashing the window of a car went viral online, Jiangnan City Daily reported on May 3. The officers did so in order to save the two people trapped in the car, which had been sitting under the blazing sun for a long time.
On April 30, when the surface temperature in Jiangxi hit 30 degrees Celsius, traffic police were informed that a 1-year-old boy and an elderly woman were locked in a hot Audi. After failing to get in touch with the car's owner, the officers smashed the car's window and successfully saved the woman and baby inside.
It turned out that the car's owner, surnamed Wang, had been driving her mother and son from Nanchang to Ji’an. Wang locked them inside the car on a highway ramp and walked off after quarreling with her mother.
