Shengkang is an ancient town in Gucheng County in Xiangyang, which has a history of habitation of 5,000 years.

At present, Shengkang Farming Culture Center has contacted China Writers Association and Hubei Provincial Writers Association and preliminarily decided to build Xiaogou Village into a base for folk custom collection, writing, and health maintenance for famous writers. Three writers have purchased rural clay houses in the village, and more than 10 famous Chinese writers have signed an occupancy agreement. Hubei Provincial Writers Association has planned to build Xiaogou Village into a base for folk custom collection, writing, and health maintenance. Through scenic-spot-type construction and open management, Xiaogou Village will be built into a writers’ village based in Hubei.
