A training course on Mahjong for foreigners was held in Chengdu, southwestern China’s Sichuan province in mid-June.
The trainer was a local doctor and the lessons were given in English. The doctor said most of the game’s rules are universally recognized, and those that are not had been translated by himself.
Foreigners from 16 countries attended the training, including the United States, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, South Africa, and Spain.
