More than 100 flights from Beijing Capital International Airport were cancelled on Tuesday as the Chinese capital was hit by a downpour in the morning.
The rainfall has eased the stifling temperature and humidity in the city, but transportation took a hit.
The Beijing airport authorities said of nearly 17,000 scheduled flights on Tuesday, at least 113 have been cancelled.
Beijing can expect another round of rain in two days.
