The 1st China Xiangyang Summer Festival (2017) opened in Banhe, Gucheng County, Xiangyang on July 15. More than 3,000 tourists from Xi'an, Nanyang, Shiyan, Xiangyang and other places got together for folk performances, rural delicacies, campfire parties and camping.
Banhe stretching 100 miles is one of the longest and most primitive canyons in northwestern Hubei. With towering mountains and abundant vegetation on both sides, it is known for green hills, clear waters, beautiful caves, deep canyon, as well as dense and secluded wood.
The festival will close on August 31.
