Jiang Xudong, deputy director of the Culture and History Center of the Hubei Provincial Museum, carefully studies an ancient sword that was once used by King Goujian of the State of Yue during the Spring and Autumn Period (770 B.C.- 476 B.C.). Jiang is now leading a group of scientists to explore the history of the ancient sword. Its history was vividly displayed to the public in a popular TV program called “National Treasure,” which was first aired by China Central Television (CCTV) on Dec. 3.
