The State Forestry Administration has recently issued the Notice on Acceptance of Pilot National Wetland Parks in 2017. Changshou Island National Wetland Park was accepted as a formal national wetland park. Located in the first section of the Han River, with a planned total area of 1,715.32 hectares and a wetland ratio of 80.37 percent, Changshou Island is a typical freshwater river wetland.
