

On January 26, Li Lecheng (L), Secretary of the CPC Xiangyang Municipal Committee and Qie Yingcai (R), Mayor of Xiangyang attended the First Session of the 13th Hubei Provincial People's Congress.
According to economic data for 2017 released by Xiangyang on the same day, Xiangyang's GDP exceeded 400 billion yuan for the first time to reach 406.49 billion yuan, up 7.2% from 2016.
Xiangyang's GDP is ranked second in Hubei Province, behind Wuhan only.
