
People's Daily has reported that speakers at a mobilization meeting, held today, confirmed that the construction of Beijing’s new airport along with its auxiliary projects will be completed by June 30, 2019, and the airport will open to the public on September 30, 2019.

Currently, construction and operation preparations are being carried out simultaneously. Speaking at the meeting, Feng Zhenglin, administrator of the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC), said that the main projects are moving forward step by step.

He went on to add that operation preparations have started successfully and that the international hub's framework has already been established.
