BEIJING, Aug. 11 (Xinhua) -- More than 300,000 newly published books from across the world will be displayed at the upcoming 25th Beijing International Book Fair, the organizer said at a recent press briefing.
A total of 2,500 exhibitors from 93 countries and regions will participate in the book fair, to be held at the China International Exhibition Center from Aug. 22 to 26.
As this year marks the 40th anniversary of China's reform and opening-up, nearly 5,000 books and publications will be showcasing the country's achievements, the organizer said.
Morocco, this year's guest country of honor, will exhibit around 800 kinds of books and hold several events to showcase African culture, and China-Morocco relations under the Belt and Road Initiative.
An exhibition of children's books will be held for the first time as part of the book fair, according to the organizer.
Co-hosted by government departments and associations, including the State Administration of Press and Publication and China Writers Association, the book fair aims at advancing cooperation and exchange among global publishers.
