Xiayuhe Village, Maliang Town, Baokang County, Xiangyang City, is located at the southern foot of Jingshan Mountain. It is an ancient village featured with wonderful mountain and river landscape, deep gorge and caves, and other natural landscapes, as well as local architecture, tombs, stone carvings and other humanistic landscape.
Xiayuhe Village is known to the world by Bingma Gorge (meaning Soldier and Horse Gorge), which is about 1 kilometer long, and at two sides standing lofty and steep cliffs. Between the cliffs on the two sides, the widest place is only 8 meters while the narrowest place only 3 meters, only allowing one carriage to pass. Standing at the bottom of the gorge and looking upward, you can only see a gleam of the sky.
