More than 110,000 people have registered to run in the upcoming 2018 Beijing Marathon, an increase of 13 percent compared with last year, The Beijing News reported on Monday.
The list of qualified candidates will be released before the end of August. Following this release, the organizers will open an extra 500 spots for those who didnt make it onto the list.
The 2018 Beijing Marathon will take place on September 16. Its route will take runners past iconic Beijing landmarks like Tiananmen Square and Beijings Olympic stadium.
