Meet Lele, the adorable 5-year-old pooch that has become somewhat of an internet celebrity. Lele was born near the Mogao Caves, an ancient Buddhist cave complex with over 1,000 years of history.
The dog became well known in the local area after it started making daily trips to the caves, quickly earning the title of Mogao Cave guardian.
A retired member of staff even took Lele to the city, 20 kilometers through the desert, to start a better life. However, Lele ran all the way back to the Mogao Caves, where it has stayed ever since.
