A total of 43 trainers and trainees from 26 countries and international organizations, including China, Brazil, France, Ghana and the United States, took part in the training co-hosted by the UN Department of Peacekeeping Operations and the Peacekeeping Affairs Center of China's Ministry of National Defense.
The sessions, all held in English, covered subjects including the selection, training, deployment, support, rotation and withdrawal of peacekeeping personnel, and aimed to improve the management capacities of peacekeeping missions in various countries.
In the past three years, China has offered training to more than 1,400 peacekeeping personnel, including senior peacekeeping officers, military observers and staff officers, from over 60 countries.
To date, China has dispatched more than 38,000 peace keepers in 24 UN peacekeeping missions.
