RIO DE JANEIRO, Dec. 7 (Xinhua) -- Former Real Madrid and Bayern Munich midfielder Ze Roberto will be given a testimonial match in Sao Paulo next month.
Palmeiras, with whom Roberto played the last three seasons of his 23-year career, said the fixture would be held on January 13 at the club's Allianz Park home.
The friendly - which will pit a "Friends of Ze" team against a Palmeiras past and present side, is expected to feature a number of high profile figures who played with or against Roberto.
The veteran of two World Cups for Brazil played his last competitive match for Palmeiras in November 2017, aged 43.
Roberto's club career also included spells with Santos, Bayer Luverkusen, Flamengo and Hamburg, among other teams.
He was capped 84 times for Brazil and played in the 1998 and 2006 World Cups.
