Hangzhou-Huangshan High-speed Railway started operation today, Dec. 25. Starting in Hangzhou in East China's Zhejiang Province, a city known as “heaven on earth,” it stretches west to the heavenly Huangshan Mountain (also known as the Yellow Mountain).

The 265 kilometer-long line cuts through nine stations, including Hangzhoudong, Qiandaohu, and Huangshanbei, as well as seven 5A National Tourist Attractions, including West Lake, Longchuan Village in Jixi County, Xidi and Hongcun ancient villages, and Huangshan Mountain.
The new railway can be described as a “poetic and pictorial splendor with a carefree and relaxing feeling.”
