

On Dec. 15, Huimin Town, Pu’er was elected as 2018 Forest Town of China.
Up to 42 candidate towns from all parts of China applied for 2018 Forest Town of China and 20 of them were elected. Huimin Town, Pu’er is the only one in Yunnan Province that won the title of 2018 Forest Town of China.

Up to 74.64 percent of the area of the Huimin Town is covered by forest and up to 90 percent by wood. It is famous for one-thousand-year-old tea plantations of Jingmai Mountain, which are as a whole applying for inclusion into the World Heritage List.
