
BEIJING, Jan. 2 (Xinhua) -- Major parks in Beijing received a record high of 683,000 tourists during the three-day New Year holiday, the municipal park administration center said Wednesday.
The number of tourists in the 11 municipal parks and the Museum of Chinese Gardens and Landscape Architecture from Dec. 30, 2018 to Jan. 1, 2019 was up 5.7 percent year on year.
The Summer Palace received up to 127,000 visitors in the three-day period, the highest among the parks.
The Summer Palace, together with Beihai Park and Yuyuantan Park were among the most popular destinations for skiing and skating.
