NANNING, Jan. 4 (Xinhua) -- A new direct flight will connect Nanning, capital of south China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, and Bangkok in Thailand.
Starting on Jan. 23, the outbound flight will leave Nanning at 7 p.m. Beijing Time and arrive in Bangkok at 8:25 p.m. local time every day. A single trip will take two hours and 25 minutes.
"We have been actively engaged in exchanges between Guangxi and ASEAN nations," said Li Chongfeng, general manager of Guangxi's local airline company GX Airlines, which will operate the flight.
The company currently flies 56 domestic and international air routes among 55 cities. It plans to launch more direct flights to Hanoi, Jakarta and Manila within the next two years.
