
BEIJING, Jan. 7 (Xinhua) -- Chinese State Councilor and Minister of Public Security Zhao Kezhi on Monday called for strengthening the fight against gun crime and explosives.
Zhao made the remarks at a conference on gun and explosives crime.
Zhao called for more efforts in a campaign against such crimes, the elimination of risks concerning guns and explosives, and building a secure and stable social environment for celebrating the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China.
He stressed continuous crackdown on gun and explosives crime, with more efforts focused on issues including smuggling and online activity.
