

In recent years, biopharmaceutical cultivation has become an emerging pillar industry for the increase of income in the mountainous areas of Pu'er City.
According to preliminary statistics, as of the end of 2018, Pu'er’s biopharmaceutical cultivation area was 390,300 mu, an increase of 2.88% year-on-year, and the production area was 257,300 mu, an increase of 6.37% year-on-year. The output of drug substance was 57,100 tons, up 2.93% year-on-year. The comprehensive output value was 6 billion yuan, up 19.25% year-on-year. The agricultural output value was 3.396 billion yuan, up 20.24% year-on-year. The industrial output value was 2.197 billion yuan, up 18.2% year-on-year. The output value of the tertiary industry was 407 million yuan, an increase of 16.77% year-on-year.
