
BERLIN, Feb. 19 (Xinhua) -- China's senior political advisor Gao Yunlong wrapped up a three-day visit to Germany on Tuesday.
Gao, vice chairman of the 13th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), and chairman council of the China Federation for Peace and Development, was visiting at the invitation of the Koerber Foundation.
Gao met Thomas Oppermann, vice president of the German Bundestag; Dagmar Schmidt, chairman of the German-Chinese Parliamentary Friendship Group in the German Bundestag; and Kurt Beck, chairman of the Friedrich Ebert Foundation.
A seminar was held at the Koerber Foundation during Gao's visit.
The German side praised China's achievements during its 40 years of reform and opening up, voiced support for the Belt and Road Initiative, and expressed its willingness to communicate and coordinate with the Chinese side on major international issues.
