Themed as “Beautiful Life and Meeting with Xiangyang”, the 13th Xiangyang Chuantian Festival & Country Fair for Spring Tourism 2019 kicked off with a ceremony on February 24.
Chuantian Festival, a local Xiangyang festival, has its roots in the legend of Zheng Jiaopu, who fell in love with the goddess of Han River after they happened to meet each other. This unforgettable story of romance is the basis for this beautiful traditional festival of Xiangyang people.
This year, the festival will last for two days. It will feature various colorful activities in two stages: Boating on the Han River and Folk Show for Country Fair for Spring Tourism.
