BEIJING, March 26 (Xinhua) -- A series of books on the 60 years of democratic reform in Tibet were released Tuesday in Beijing to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the region's democratic reform.
Based on an enormous amount of historical literature and statistics, the books faithfully recorded and recreated every step of the democratic reform in Tibet, in an effort to accurately and objectively present the original picture of this great historical transformation, said Hong Tao, head of the China Tibetology Publishing House .
The books not only reviewed and generalized the past achievements in Tibet during the six decades, but also outlined its future prospects.
Experts and scholars from Tibetology institutes around the country took part in the books' compilation, which was initiated in 2018.
The books were jointly released by the China Association for Preservation and Development of Tibetan Culture and China Tibetology Research Center.
