BEIJING, March 29 (Xinhua) -- Chinese Vice Premier Han Zheng has called for solid efforts in proceeding the reform of the examination and approval system for construction projects.
Han, also a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, made the remarks at a national teleconference on the reform of the examination and approval system for construction projects Thursday.
While pushing forward the reform, Han urged relevant authorities to adhere to the principle of proceeding from reality, resolutely eradicate formalism and avoid "across-the-board" implementation of policies.
Efforts should be made to improve the examination and approval procedures, standardize the application of discretion, rationalize coordination among departments, promote informatization and enhance resource sharing, he said.
He also ordered local governments to adopt tailored policies to advance the reform and formulate a scientific approval process based on the types of construction projects, investment categories and scales.
