BEIJING, April 2 (Xinhua) -- Chinese State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi held talks with Mongolian Foreign Minister Damdin Tsogtbaatar in Beijing Tuesday.
China and Mongolia, having maintained the diplomatic ties for 70 years, are facing important opportunities for further development of bilateral relations, Wang said.
The two sides should maintain close high-level exchanges, align the Belt and Road Initiative with Mongolia's development strategy, carry out aid projects regarding development and people's livelihood, facilitate the implementation of major projects on energy and mineral resources, and deepen cooperation in various fields, Wang said.
Mongolia is willing to work with China to push forward cooperation projects on agriculture and animal husbandry, mining, energy, transportation and infrastructure within the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative, so as to continuously enhance the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries, Tsogtbaatar said.
