
VIENNA, April 13 (Xinhua) -- Ma Biao, vice chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, visited Austria from Thursday to Saturday at the invitation of the Austrian parliament.
Ma, who is also the president of the Chinese People's Association for Peace and Disarmament, met with Ingo Appe, president of the Federal Council of the Austrian Parliament, Alastair Wittmann, chair of the Austria-China Parliamentary Group, and Brigitta Pallauf, president of the Salzburg State Parliament.
The two sides held in-depth exchanges of views on the China-Austria ties, parliamentary and people-to-people exchanges, and joint construction of the Belt and Road, among other issues.
The Chinese delegation also had conversations with the Austrian Institute for European and Security Policy, the Austria-China Friendship Association and other organizations.
